New Life Testimonies
from
New Beginnings Baptist Church
Ronalds testimony......
I grew up in a devoted catholic family. My father is a drunkard.
My parents are strong disciplinarians but of course they cant
watch what am I'm doing all the time. There are a lot of temptations.
I was tempted to drink, and smoke. At that time I was still
11 years old. One day my company and I had trouble with the
other folks. We destroyed their nipa-hut, so we were fighting
each other until Pastor Chris went out to put his garbage in
a garbage scan and he saw us fighting. Pastor Chris went to
us and give us some candy and he told us not to fight anymore,
and we stop fighting. Pastor Chris invite me and other folks
to come in their place to play basketball. After that I'm faithfully
attending to their church but I'm not yet saved. The time come,
I quit going to church again and quit school also. Pastor Chris
went to my place again and encouraged me to continue going to
church so I'm faithfully serving the Lord again. September 11,
2002 I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour.
Pastor Chris is the one who was preaching. Now I'm faithfully
serving the Lord. My desire is to be a Missionary, right now
I want to finish my high school after that I will proceed to
Bible College. My life verse Matthew 5:16 Let your light so
shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify
your Father which is in heaven. Brother in Christ, Ronald Canete.
I started a book club in our church. The
first book I had Ronald and all of our preacher boys to read
was the life story of John “Praying” Hyde. That
book has helped transform Ronald’s life and ministry to
that of prayer. I can honestly say that Ronald has become a
fine young man of prayer. He is one of my greatest prayer warriors.
Please pray for Ronald as he has submitted his life to be a
missionary and believes the Lord may be leading him to work
in the country of Zambia. Ronald will be enrolling in the New
Beginnings Baptist Bible College in June. It is so exciting
to see what God is doing. He is still making a difference
in Ronald’s life and I look forward to seeing how God
uses Ronald in making a difference in the lives of others!
