Hello Everyone,
Praise the Lord for His goodness, grace
and mercy. We are so glad to be back in the PI.
Our return trip was great. We praise the Lord for giving us
safety, good health, swift connections, smooth flights and most
of all a safe arrival. Thank you for praying for our trip.
We hit the ground running. We arrived
on our island September 20 and the Lord allowed me to be in
the pulpit on the following day. We took our Gospel Team and
ministered to the Open Bible Baptist Church of Puentebella for
their Sixth Church Anniversary. There was a wonderful crowd
gathered to celebrate the Lord’s blessing upon this church.
The greatest part of all was at the end of the service, seven
people accepted the Lord as their Saviour. Among them
were two elderly ladies over sixty years of age, while the others
were a result of a college campus outreach, where some of the
members had conducted Bible studies for over a year. I was glad
to see God bring forth the increase of their labors.
One of the last things my pastor, Bro.
Gene Rowell, told me was that the doors of opportunity swing
on the hinges of opposition. The following week we had one obstacle
after another. Andrew had a terrible asthma attack and we had
to take him to the emergency room. The doctors finally got him
regulated on a local steroid medicine. Praise the Lord, Andrew
is now doing fine. Then, our computer crashed right
in the middle of getting set up, so we could not communicate
with folks back home. We are still having problems with both
the computer and the local server for email. Praise the Lord
it is doing some better.
The following week our team went to the
Handumanan Bible Baptist Church to minister for their special
Grandparents Day. They had a good attendance and a good spirit
in the church. The team did a great job in their singing and
helps. After the service, one dear grandmother came
forward to receive Christ as her personal Saviour.
We thank the Lord for allowing us to have a small part in the
eternal redemption of man.
Please pray for the upcoming events:
Masskara Evangelistic Outreach, October 11-19th.
During these days, our city will have this Masskara Festival
and over three million people are anticipated in attendance.
We plan to give out the Gospel as much as possible in reaching
souls for Him. We will also have the IBOM Pastors Conference
that we are hosting on October 20-21. Dr. Wendell Runion, Dr.
Bud Lance and Dr. Barry Goodman will be here to preach the conference.
We are anticipating a great meeting with eternal benefits.
Please pray about our land to
start a church. We have found an excellent location
and we are now processing the paperwork. Hopefully, by our next
update we will be clearing the property for a temporary building.
Also, please continue to pray concerning
our return expenses for set up costs. We are
still lacking a great deal. We are going forward and doing what
we can with what we have. We still need the finances for a vehicle
and will also need the money to build a temporary building
to start the New Beginnings Baptist Church.
