Hello Everyone

Greetings once again from Bacolod City Philippines. We praise the Lord for the opportunity to share with you the blessings of God upon our lives and His ministry here in the PI.

Health News – The last three months have been rather difficult for Mrs. Amy. She went into premature labor at five months and was hospitalized and put on bed rest for a total of six weeks. The doctors have discovered the reasons for this and have it under control at this time. She still has restrictions but things are getting back to normal. We appreciate your continued prayers concerning this. Caleb Joshua Murray is expected to be delivered in January.

Carol Blackwell Library Dedication – The New Beginnings Baptist Bible College dedicated it’s library in the memory of Carol S. Blackwell on September 22, 2004. Sister Blackwell was a dear friend of the Murray family and donated the first portion of books for the library before her death. Her widow, Bro. Bob Blackwell came over and attended the dedication service in her honor to represent the family. We certainly appreciate both Bro. and Sister Blackwell and their friendship to our family and this ministry.

New Beginnings Baptist Bible College Book Drive
Our Bible College needs books for this library. You may help by donating good, used, fundamental books. We are just starting the library so we can use all types of biographies, commentaries, etc. Please send them to Gantt Street Baptist Church to forward to us. We would greatly appreciate any and all help you could provide for us. (Address above)

MASSKARA 2004 EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH
October 17, 2004 marked the Silver Anniversary of the Masskara Festival. This is the Mardi Gras of the Philippines. Millions of people crowded the streets of Bacolod for this event. Our church seized the opportunity to go out into the highways and hedges and distribute the Gospel. The Lord allowed us to distribute over 30,000 Gospel tracts in just a few hours.

I would like to ask for people to pray about coming to help with this event. It is growing every year. The festival is two weeks long and the parade is only a few hours but millions of people are accessible with the Gospel. I would like to get a team of soul-winners together to go throughout the entire week. I believe a great harvest is waiting for people to hear the Macedonian (Philippine) call to come over and help us bring them in from the fields of sin. If you are interested in participating in this great event be sure to contact us months in advance in order to make the proper arrangements.

NBBC – Church Revival with the IBOM Revival Team
October 24-27, 2004

Our church was blessed to have our Missionary Joe Gamboa to kick off our revival service on the 24th with many people coming to Christ for salvation. Bro. Gamboa and his family are members of our church and working with the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry. The IBOM Revival Team was here for the 25th and 26th. IBOM Missionary Bud Lance and his pastor Dr. Brent Cochran preached the first night while Pastor Ted Windham and IBOM President Wendell Runion preached the closing services. The Lord saved forty souls during the three day revival. We praise the Lord for the victories won, souls saved and lives changed. Many people came forward, confessing sin, rededicating their lives and drawing closer to Christ. We thank the Lord for His blessings upon us.

Bro. Ted Windham, at left, said that “he had as much fun as a barrel full of monkies being in the Philippines” and the Filipinos are still trying to figure out why he had a bunch of monkies in a barrel!

Bro. Runion, at right, brought a great message to close out the services on The Second Coming of Christ. We appreciate Bro. Runion’s dedication during this trip as his wife was hospitalized back home and his health is still making things difficult for him. Thanks Dr. Runion for coming.

Asian International Outreaches

At left is the Kuar Family, our first Indian converts from Punjab, the place of former Missionary Giant, John Hyde.

At right is Bro. Danny Oh. Danny came from Korea to study English. He received Christ as his Saviour at NBBC on October 24th.
