IBOM was started in 1996 under
the leadership of Dr. Wendell Runion. Bro. Runion developed a
great burden for missions while pastoring the same church for
21 years. He then felt led to start IBOM in order to be more effective
in establishing as many churches as possible before Jesus comes.
Through his leadership and with the assistance of a great missions
team, IBOM has started or strengthened over 44 churches since
February 1996.
At IBOM our method of church planting is using nationals as much as possible. Men are trained in local churches and in Bible colleges on the field to go and start new churches. Then he goes to a city and starts home Bible studies which lead into the development of New Testament Indigenous Baptist Churches. IBOM establishes a central church in each country in which it has established mission works. All the new works are organized as a mission work of that central church. The pastors are ordained, commissioned and sent out of that central church under the leadership of that local pastor. IBOM has Field Missionaries working with the countries of Lebanon , Egypt , Kenya , Uganda , Mexico and the Philippines. |
