Hello Praying Friends,
We trust all is well with each of you. We are
all doing fine here. Time flies when you are having fun. We
have enjoyed the last few months immensely as the Lord has moved
in so many ways.
First of all, there is rejoicing in heaven as
new names are written down in glory. While we rejoice as many
have been saved, there is no greater joy than seeing your own
child saved. Our four year old son Andrew received Jesus Christ
as his personal Saviour. He had been asking questions for many
months. On Sunday evening he raised his hand for prayer and
went to the altar like many children. On this particular Sunday
evening he went back to his seat to get his Mom to pray with
him again. I joined them at the altar and he admitted he was
a sinner and needed to be saved. Amy and I had the wonderful
privilege of leading him to Christ.
As we started home, Andrew said we must call
the family to let them know he had gotten saved. The next morning,
at 6:00, he jumped out of bed and came running over and leaped
up into our bed and started singing to the top of his lungs
“I'm Saved to the Uttermost!” He grabbed me by the
head and said, "Daddy, sing with me! I can sing this song
now because I am saved!”
After singing, he got his school desk and threw a bed sheet
over it and got his Bible and said, “Alright Daddy, it's
preaching time! Get your Bible.” He then preached "Ye
Must Be Born Again!” I sure am glad God saves ole (and
young) sinners!
Our website is officially up and running. We
invite you to visit us at www.makingadifference.com.ph
We will be posting more frequent updates as soon as we can get
all the details worked out.
The Lord has blessed our family. We are so thankful
that the Lord has enabled us to be here in the Philippines.
There is no other place in the world that we would rather be.
We want to thank each of you for helping us through prayer and
financial giving. We could not be here without you standing
by our side. God bless you as you continue to serve Him faithfully!
Love
& prayers, Bro. Chris, Amy & Andrew Murray

The New Beginnings Baptist Church hosted the
Rock of Ages Philippines Annual Conference and Soul-winning
Revival on January 29 – 30. We had a wonderful time in
the Lord. Our folks worked so hard and sacrificed greatly in
preparation for this event. I was so blessed by our people’s
willingness to fast and pray for the two weeks prior to the
meeting. The Lord always honors faithfulness and sacrifice.
ROA Asian Representative, Bro. Larry Stikeleather coordinated
the meeting on behalf of the Rock of Ages and he worked wonderfully
with us throughout the meeting. We appreciate all his hard work
in making this meeting the success it was.
As the people prayed and worked hard the Lord heard and answered
prayer by bringing in the multitudes. The pictures below will
show the large crowds inside, outside and even up the stairs
during the meeting. We prayed and asked the Lord to give us
1,500 each night with 150 professions each night. The Lord answered
prayer by gave us over 1,600 the first night and over 1,800
the next night with 303 professions of faith during the two
night meeting.
Visited by Dr. Steve Jarrett
Our dear friend, Evangelist Steve Jarrett visited our church
and preached two wonderful messages from the Word of God. New
Beginnings Baptist Church is working toward official organization
and Bro. Jarrett brought great messages to help us in that pursuit.
We had six people saved during his visit.
We thank the Lord for Bro. Jarrett, our
friendship and his ministry. I appreciate his burden to help
churches and God’s servants to become what God wants them
to be in Christ!

The great Jehovah-Jireh has
done it again! Our staff house was filled to capacity and our
fund raising efforts were making very little progress when the
Lord provided a place for us to worship. This building became
available and we took it as an answer to prayer.
The building is in a great location along
the national highway just minutes from the city airport and
in the center of a shopping mall. The location will provide
easy access for multitudes to come and hear the Word of God.
The visibility of the place will make it easy to promote the
ministry. We are so excited about what the Lord has provided
for us!
Renting this building will give us time
to grow as a ministry, build up the congregation, and continue
raising funds for the future land and building projects. We
certainly want to thank those churches and individuals who have
given towards the building project. Please pray as we continue
in this effort.
Please pray for the New Beginnings Baptist
Bible Institute! The Lord willing we will begin a Bible Institute
in June. We have nine people in our church that have surrendered
to full time Christian ministry. The Lord has given us two young
missionaries, three missionary wives, two assistant pastors,
and two pastor’s wives. There are approximately five others
who are seeking His direction who also would like to attend
the school. Please pray for this area of ministry. I believe
it is something that we must do for our church , not to mention
the other churches around Bacolod who would like to avail of
it.
Please pray also for our upcoming meeting
with Evangelist William Jeffcoat from the Gantt Street Baptist
Church of Cayce, SC and Pastor Dan Hemmes from the Manton Baptist
Church of Manton, MI. Brother Jeffcoat will be conducting our
NBBC Organizational Service on June 6th followed by a three
day revival. Pastor Hemmes will be preaching a Bible Conference
each morning during the week initiating the New Beginnings Baptist
Bible Institute! Please pray for these men, these meetings,
and this ministry.
The best is yet to
come, God is still making a difference in Bacolod City Philippines!
