Welcome to the Gantt Street Baptist Church . We are a fundamental independent Baptist Church standing for old time religion. It has been my privilege to be the pastor of this church since the spring of 1979. My family and I consider ourselves blessed as we reflect over the many years that God has permitted us to serve in this region of His vineyard.

I can do no less than echo the words of the Psalmist who wrote: "The Lord hath done great things for us... whereof we are glad!". We have witnessed and experienced many unique blessings, as well as a few unexpected jolts along the way. Both the blessing and the bumps have been profitable, and we give thanks unto "Him" who is all sufficient!

The people who comprise our church family are some of the sweetest and friendliest people you will ever meet. More importantly, these "Ambassadors for Christ" have a genuine desire to magnify their Lord! Be reminded as you look through this website, viewing the ministries, and the people, that these blessings are not mere products of chance. God has so richly blessed our church. Each step of progress had been made because of those willing to be faithful to the Lord by giving of their time and talents to minister for the cause of Christ. It is my hope and prayer in years to come, that this same spirit of dedication will be evident.

May all who join our ranks know our purpose and have a desire to stand firm in: "Exalting the Savior, Encouraging the Saints, Equipping the Soldier, and Evangelizing the Sinner." In these days of unparalleled apostacy, let us diligently pray that the Holy Ghost will empower this body of believers to remain faithful to such a calling.
