Hello Praying Friends,
Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name
of the Lord! God is so good and He is good all the time. We
are thankful for the Lord’s working in our lives and ministry.
God the Father loves us, the Son died to save us and the Holy
Ghost lives within us. Glory to God!
We are so thankful the Lord has led us to Gantt Street Baptist
Church. Pastor and Mrs. Rowell, along with the church family,
have been such a blessing and have extended such a warm welcome
to us. We have been so blessed by their eagerness and excitement
in becoming the sending church of their own missionaries. People
have been so encouraging and we look forward to working with
this great church as a missions team to reach the Filipinos
with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our resignation from Maranatha Baptist Missions became effective
July 31st. We sure are thankful to the Maranatha Family for
eight wonderful years of co-laboring together. We will miss
those dear servants of God. They are still precious friends
and co-laborers in the Lord’s vineyard. However, we are
also thankful that the Lord has united us with IBOM. I truly
believe that the best is yet to come for our family in His ministry.
I look forward to seeing what God will do with this new team.
The entire team is excited and eager to go forward in reaching
the Philippines for Christ.
Please pray that the repercussions of these changes do not delay
our return any longer than absolutely necessary. By faith, we
have reserved our return tickets for September 16th. We want
to get back to the field. There is much work to be done. We
love and appreciate all of you who are faithfully praying and
giving that we may continue in the Philippines.
Your friends & servants,
The Murray Family
Jude 22 - And of some have compassion, making
a difference.

Ministry News
We are so excited about what the Lord is doing in this ministry.
During our transition time between churches and mission boards
I had to go back to the PI in order to take care of some business.
While there, the Lord allowed me to preach in a few different
churches and be used of the Lord.
We took our Gospel Team and visited the Open Bible Baptist Church
in Puentebella, Bacolod City, and closed out their Fifth Annual
Missions Conference. This was a real blessing in that I had the
privilege of preaching their first missions conference in 1997.
Pastor Ferdinand Magallanes and the good folks there were blessed
with our team. I preached “Who Will Go For Us” and
our team illustrated the different groups who were going. We then
challenged the Baptist t to do the same and more, so much more.
We have the Truth that sets men free!
During the trip I was also able to meet with some area pastors
who are desiring that we establish a Bible college through our
ministry. While there are various colleges in the PI, very few
will cooperate in allowing the students to return to their local
churches to serve. Having a strong belief in allowing this in
order to “strengthen” other churches, I was able to
get several commitments for both college teachers and students.
There are about twenty students waiting for our return to start
this college. Please pray for this development and for us to be
able to return ASAP!
Another great development is an Independent Baptist Fellowship
for our island. Several churches are beginning to understand the
concept of being an Independent Baptist church and establishing
themselves in order to govern their own churches. However, in
doing so, it has led others to isolate them from any fellowship.
Brethren, you will die of discouragement without God’s encouragement.
God encourages us oftentimes through His people. This fellowship
will be a “strengthening” tool to help other churches
and pastors, as well as, be a great tool to recruit future students
and servants for His ministry. Please pray for the unity of the
brethren to abound for the glory of God.
While here in the States, the Lord used Amy to help in the Vacation
Bible School at the United Baptist Church of Greeneville, Tennessee.
Amy and Andrew were really blessed to be with Bro. & Sis.
Lamar Whittemore. These are dear friends and supporters. This
was Andrew’s first opportunity to participate in a VBS and
of course he loves being a little cowboy. Thanks Bro. Lamar and
Sis. Chastity for this opportunity! Yahoo! Ride-em cowboys!

Testimonies from the Mission Field
Willy Edoloverio
I’ll never forget leading Willy Edoloverio
to Christ. Willy was one of the young people who was about to
fight in front of our house in 1997, as we were starting our
ministry. Willy was always a respectful young boy. His parents
were faithful to the Catholic Couples for Christ movement. Therefore,
he was more religious minded than many of our original crew.
One night after a tough message that exposed Catholic church
heresies Willy was disturbed. He came to me and asked me to
show him the Truth. After about two hours of Truth, Willy accepted
the Truth for his salvation.
Willy writes, “I got saved on March 29 1998. I didn’t
know God as my personal savior and when I die I did not know
where I will go. My parents are devoted RC. And that time Bro.
Chris preached and after that I talk to him because I’m
afraid that when I die I don’t know were I go. So he tells
me the way the truth and the life and I am glad he explained
to me clearly about Christ. But before that I’m a stupid
man, I go around in the drunkards, smokers and gangsters. We
are many but I decided to choose Christ Jesus as my personal
Saviour.”
Willy has always been very active and faithful in serving the
Lord through the ministry of the Heritage Baptist Church. He
is a very effective teacher in the Community Bible Breaks. He
has led in two different Bible Break areas. Both became the
most fruitful areas of the ministry.
The Lord has called Willy to be one of my assistants in the
ministry. Willy attended Bible College and studied the music
ministry and has done quite well in this area of ministry. He
has studied both the guitar and the piano and is doing well
and growing in this ministry. He has also studied song leading
and led the singing for the Heritage Baptist Church. When we
return Willy will be going with us to help start the New Beginnings
Baptist Church.
I praise the Lord for what He has done and what He is doing.
Through the ministry of the Word of God and practicing Jude
22, God is still making a difference in the life of
Willy Edoloverio! To God be the glory, great things He hath
done!

Would you please pray about the following needs?
When we return to the Philippines
we will basically be starting over. We will have to get another
house, vehicle, furnishings, etc. Would you please pray about
giving a special offering for our return expenses? With our
airline tickets, shipping, house furnishings, and purchasing
a vehicle for family and ministry use, as well as starting a
new church ministry, we will need around $20,000. We try not
to ever ask for extra offerings above our monthly support, that
many of you are so faithful in providing. However, the
local church is the lifeline in which God provides for His missionaries
and mission work. We have no where else to turn. Would
you pray about helping with this great need? We firmly believe
that if every church would do as that widow lady and do what
they could, GOD WILL PROVIDE for these needs. He is still the
great Jehovah-Jireh! You may send any special offerings for
the Murray’s Return Expenses to IBOM
and we would greatly appreciate it. May the Lord richly bless
you as you continue to serve Him faithfully.
Stay Tuned until next month. We can’t wait to
tell you what great things God hath done!
